Work Accident Prevention Strategy through Safety Campaign in Manufacturing Industry

Abstract

The manufacturing industry is one of the sectors with a high risk of work accidents due to the use of heavy machinery, hazardous chemicals, and the complexity of the production process. The implementation of preventive strategies through safety campaigns is an important effort in reducing the number of work accidents and forming a strong safety culture in the work environment. This study aims to examine the strategy for implementing an effective safety campaign in increasing awareness, compliance, and safe behavior of workers in the manufacturing industry. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature studies that examine various scientific literature, case studies, and empirical reports related to the implementation of work safety campaigns. The results of the study show that safety campaigns are able to increase K3 literacy, reduce risky behavior, and strengthen worker participation in creating a safe workplace. Types of effective campaigns include interactive training, accident simulations, visual media, and the use of digital technology. Evaluation through observation, perception surveys, and internal audits are also needed to measure their impact as a whole. Safety campaigns are a reliable strategy in preventing work accidents, with the note that their implementation must be supported by management, designed systematically, and adjusted to the needs and characteristics of workers.
